The Luminous Glow of November’s Full Supermoon
Illuminating our skies on November 5th, the Full Beaver Super Moon offers a final call to prepare and gather before the arrival of winter. At this point in the year, I warmly embrace the opportunity to turn inwards – both literally and metaphorically - stepping into my home and into my soul, for quiet introspection, security and warmth.
Like a beacon in the night sky, the Beavers Moon offers a path of light through the darker months ahead. Her luminous glow helps guide us as we seek shelter and warmth, while her gentle wisdom prepares us for the cold, crisp winter ahead.
Magnificent and Ethereal
A Supermoon marks the moment when the moon’s orbit is at its closest to Earth, making it appear larger and brighter than normal. It is a potent time for release and is said to have amplified energy. The November Full Moon is the second of three Supermoons this year.
Entering the darker season under the ethereal light of a Supermoon feels like a tranquil moment of clarity and calm. The magnificent Supermoon appears like an open celestial window, bathing us in her nurturing and reflective wisdom. Think of this time as an invitation to manifest with greater clarity and purpose, as you release and realign with the lunar cycle.

Preparations for Winter
As the final Full Moon before the Winter Solstice, the Beavers Moon teaches us not only to prepare for the arrival of Winter but also the importance of community, hard work and diligence.
Just like the beaver, who historically built and maintained their lodges at this time of year, we are reminded of perseverance, productivity and commitment to our goals. While nature slows down for its winter slumber, the beaver continues to work tirelessly with patience, reminding us to trust in the process, honour the rewards of diligence and value the strength found in community.
Release and Let Go Ritual
Under the shimmering light of a Full Supermoon, I feel empowered to release and let go. I like to use the heightened energy of the Supermoon to realign my intentions and set boundaries, enabling me to reserve my energy through the colder, darker season ahead.
With this amplified energy supporting me, I know that I can build a good structure to protect my inner strength and honour myself as I slow down and spend more reflective time indoors.
Whilst meditating under this full moon, I ask myself three simple questions, which I later explore in my journal: “What am I ready to release?”, “What habits or emotions are holding me back?”, and “What cycles have come to a close?”.
To finish the ritual, I take some time to write the words and thoughts on a separate piece of paper, which I then burn, letting the smoke rise as a symbol of release.
